Personal risk desk · In development · Early access open

Every fund trader has a risk desk. Now you do.

At a hedge fund, no trader acts alone. Limits are set in advance, every order is checked, and someone steps in before a bad hour becomes a bad quarter. Cordon brings that desk to your screen. Your mandate, enforced pre-trade, across every account.

Why desks exist

Funds don't trust judgment at 10:06. They build systems.

Risk desks aren't there because fund traders are amateurs. They're there because every professional drifts under pressure. Retail traders face the same pressure with no desk at all. The numbers show what that costs.

74–89%of retail CFD accounts in the EU lose money.
70→91%Share of losing traders as trade count rises, across 543,000 German traders.
$4B+lost by US retail options traders after costs, 2019–21.
1.6Mcrypto traders liquidated in a single day, Oct 10–11, 2025.

Anatomy of a blow-up

Accounts don't die at the open. They die at 10:06.

The loss that matters is never the first one. It's the decision made forty seconds later. That's the moment a risk desk is built for.

  1. The mandate

Set calmly. Max drawdown $500, max 2 contracts.

  2. A normal loss

−$60. Within plan. Part of the business.

  3. The reflex

Back in at double size to win it back.

    The desk steps in here
  4. Limits drift

Stop moved, limit raised, trade count climbing.

  5. The drawdown

A month of P&L gone in one session.

The desk

Four desk functions.
Running on every order.

Mandate

Set your limits like a PM.

Drawdown, position size, trade count, session hours and cooldowns. Tightening takes effect now. Loosening needs 24 hours, the way a desk needs sign-off.

Surveillance

Reads behavior, not charts.

Every order is scored before it reaches the market: size-up after a loss, fast re-entry, loss streaks, overtrading.

Intervention

Graduated, like a real desk.

A flag. A hold with reasons and a countdown. A lock until the cooldown clears. A flatten when the daily drawdown is hit. Each step logged with its reason.

Rules of engagement

Strict with you.
Never against you.

Exits are never blocked.

A lock stops new entries only. You can always reduce risk, even mid-lock.

No market calls. Ever.

Your mandate covers your own risk: drawdown, size, count and time. Cordon has no view on instruments or direction.

No custody.

Crypto connections use trade-only API keys, never withdrawal rights. Your data stays local and yours.

Questions.

Is Cordon investment advice?

No. A risk desk doesn't pick trades, and neither does Cordon. It only enforces the limits you set on your own risk: how much you can lose, how big you trade, how often and when.

Can it lock me inside a losing position?

No. Reducing or closing a position is always allowed, even during a lock. Locks stop new entries only.

Isn't this just a stop loss?

A stop loss manages one position. Cordon manages the trader: size after a loss, re-entry speed, trade count and drawdown across every account, checked before each order.

Which platforms will it work with?

We're starting with NinjaTrader for US futures and major crypto exchanges through trade-only API keys. Tell us what you trade when you request access, and it shapes what we connect next.

What if I want to change my limits?

Tighten any limit and it applies immediately. Loosening waits 24 hours, so the decision is made by your calm self, the way a desk requires sign-off.

When can I use it, and what will it cost?

Cordon is in development. Early access members get in first and hear about pricing before anyone else.

Calm isn't a mood.
It's a system.

Request early access. We're starting with active futures, options and crypto traders who want to trade like there's a desk behind them.
